The first movie adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series books heated up the winter of 2008 with a blockbuster opening and a worldwide box-office gross that would brush $400 million. it also changed the way Hollywood would look at “tween” pics, particularly when it came to the female side of ticket sales. The mega-successful debut insured the series would continue while the films fans made matinee idols of nearly everyone in the cast.

We acknowledge that the art of the trailer is truly art with a purpose. Sometimes the art of the trailer is a terrific tease to an exceptional film and sometimes it’s just art, in and of itself. If it gets you excited, curious or interested and you buy a ticket, that would be where art blends into commerce. When the ticket you buy results in a less than satisfying time in your cinema, you can’t fault the editors and designers of the trailer. Moviedozer is indebted to the the folks at Apple Inc. who produce the Apple Quicktime Trailer pages. We’d also like to acknowledge IMPA.com and all of the movie studios for making their advertising readily available to the general public.
